Natalie Evelyn was born April 21, 2010n at 9:17am weighing 4lbs 4 oz. She cried!!!!
She is in the NICU on a vent but only on a room air setting. Everyone says she is darling.
The next 72 hours will tell us a lot about her pulmonary function but so far she is doing really well.
I will update as I can. Thank you all so much for your love and support. Please keep Natalie in your prayers as she adjusts to life on the outside.
Congratulations!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! I am Dana Flaherty's little sister and because of a placenta abrupture we had a 4lb, 4oz 33 week and 1 day preemie on December 2nd! Your post sounds very familiar to me! :) We spent a little over 5 weeks in the NICU. Congrats on your beautiful baby girl (girls ROCK the NICU BTW...Emma was consistently bigger than any of the boys of the same age) and I wanted to give you some encouragement about the end result. Our daughter has NO medical issues at all and is weighing in at 4 months at over 14 pounds! Little girls rebound faster than you would think and I know Natalie will show everyone that soon! You guys will be in my prayers!
ReplyDeletehooray!!! Oh, that is so fabulous. As another current NICU mom, I'm sending you all our hopes and good wishes. Welcome to the world, Natalie, and good crying!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! Congratulaions!! Such wonderful and exciting news! I will continue to keep you, your sweet little Natalie and your family in my prayers!!

He had some lung issues at the beginning, but today he i a happy healthy 6 year old playing soccer and doing extremely well in school. I'm praying for your little miracle Natalie and for your family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jt and family. You will be in my thoughts that everything continues to go well.
ReplyDeleteAs the grandpa I heard the news by phone, Reading the news has changed my breathing and teared my eyes, I am happy, relieved, and elated.
ReplyDeleteOh, she is a darling! So glad that you have been able to keep up the blogging. I will try.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the emergency c-section. Can't imagine adding that on top of everything else. You are still my inspiration!
I wrote on BBC - Timmy has a PDA as well. They are going to start the medicine tonight. Hope this clears for both our sweet babies.
I am so proud of and happy for you to make it all the way from 14 weeks to 33. That is absolutely extraordinary. I, too, find it very surreal that just 3 days ago I was pregnant and planning on a May birth and now he's here!!! My belly is soft too and I do miss his kicks already. =(
Hope you are able to get lots of rest and that your iron levels recover quickly.
All my best to you, my inspiration, and your sweet little Natalie, my tiny Timmy's birth buddy! And I'm headed back to the NICU!
